Milkweed Seedpod - Macro Monday

All my wife will tell me is she collected it in the "wild"... and that it is a seedpod from a milkweed plant. Butterflies like milkweeds, and she likes butterflies.
Canon EF-S 60mm macro lens, f18, 1/60 second exposure, iso 1600. Check out Lisa's Chaos Macro Monday for awesome macro shots.  Have a great week!

  5. I guess we both did have milkweed in mind...Those seeds will need some cold weather to germinate. I collected some and didn't get them planted last fall. Hopefully yours will grow....thanks for helping the monarch butterflies

  7. Enjoyed browsing through your photos - beautiful!

When those milkweed seeds are floating through the fall air (here in KY), we call them 'wishes' - do you all? If you can catch one, you make a wish, then set it free to carry your wish away. Fanciful, huh! :0)

  8. I am intrigued by the part "all my wife will tell me..." In my mind she has found it in a secret spot or at least somewhere where she wasn't supposed to be, haha.
Beautiful photo, I don't think I have ever seen anything like this, the details are, as said, beautiful!
