Orange Sky

Took this tonight as the sun was setting in the CA desert. The plant silhouette is the bloom of a cactus called an ocotillo. They are tall and spiky, and when flowering, have spectacular red blooms at the ends of each branch. Very unusual, and quintessential desert!

  13. The ocotillo looks like it's holding out its arm and enjoying the remaining sunlight.
