Korakia Pensione

That's a mouthful!  The Korakia Pensione is a funky-elegant boutique hotel in Palm Springs. According to their website [http://www.korakia.com/], "the Korakia blends the silhouette of Tangier with a whisper of the Mediterranean". A friend of mine is getting married there soon, and she asked me to shoot the wedding. It's truly an honor, and as I've never done this before, and you don't get "do-overs" at weddings, I want to do my very best to do it right.  With that in mind, my wife and I drove out Saturday AM to check it out. The good news is it's very picturesque... a really beautiful setting. Wish me luck!
The property is right up against the rocks, and yet still close to downtown restaurants and shopping.

Ornate doors and locks seem to be all over the place!

Like I said.... funky! (in a good way!)

My favorite photo of the morning... my wife had to keep track of the chihuahua while I was busy clicking! If you're in the Palm Springs area, check out the Korakia Pensione... it's well worth a visit!!

  1. This is an unbelievable decor for a wedding. If this doesn't work nothing does. Good luck.

  6. All the photos are great and somehow I can feel that warm desert air (once again) when I look at all of these. Wonder why that is :).

  12. A neat idea to have your bed outside (as long as the weather is warm:) ) Beautiful surroundings! Am just adding this idea -teacher of hubby's photo class gives the bride and groom a CD after the wedding, and they can choose themselves which pics they want to order (so you eliminate the extra work of photo editing unnecessary pics)
    Thanks for visiting me earlier:)
