11.5.2014 Moon

Driving home after picking up my granddaughter from daycare, I was treated to this view of the rising moon.
Moonrise was at about 4:30 PM, but it was closer to 5 PM before I got this view.  Sunset was at 5 PM... perfect for some nice dusky moon shots!
This hiking trail appears to be leading to the moon!
As time passed, the blues in the sky got deeper.
Tonight's moon if full, so hope to capture some more skywatch shots! Linking with Skywatch Friday. Click on the link to check out great skies from around the world! Thanks for stopping by, and have a great weekend.

  4. Great shots. On the way home today I saw the moon from the freeway and cussed myself. It would have looked great overlooking downtown but I didn't want to get off the freeway and go back.

  20. Great shots. I am off to Tasmania in the new year, and hope to get some good Moon shots without all the background light pollution - but it rains a lot is Tassie!

  22. I can see "the man in the moon" in some of these photos! Very cool. Itusually takes me some time to get used to the early sunset of late autumn, but the night also has its beauty!
