My sister over at Lap Dog Knits stopped by this morning and dropped off some flowers for my wife. No particular reason, she's just like that... likes to do nice things for people. Cool, eh? These are some kind of Sunflower variation, called Teddy Bear Sunflower. Looked like a photo opportunity to me!! Thanks, Sis!

I had never heard of teddybear sun flowers, they look great, and indeed they do look a little bit like a soft teddy bear :-). I especially like the last shot, against the blue, blue sky. Have a wonderful weekend.

ReplyDeleteI love these sunflowers!! I like the texture you used on the first shot...you barely notice it but it really gives a unique quality to the photo...it truly enhances the beauty of the flower (if that is at all possible as these flowers are gorgeous). What a nice sister!!

ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet sister you have, what fun sunflowers she gave your wife, and what wonderful photos you took of them! The first and last photos are my favorites - so beautiful, such rich colors. I love how fluffy they are, and the name is perfect. I intend to look them up and see if they'll grow here - would love some on the south side of our new house!
