Jose the Painter

We're getting our house painted, and when we got home today, I had to get a portrait shot of one of the painting crew, Jose. He's been spraying the siding, and by the looks of things, much of his head as well! He doesn't wear goggles, and his eyes are bloodshot. Jose works incredibly hard, for not much money, and works 7 days a week, 12 hours a day, when his boss lets him. It's hot, humid, he doesn't appear to stop for lunch or have a need to ever use the bathroom, and he never complains. His work ethic is incredible and admirable.

  12. Great portrait. By the way you asked if the fence was from needles. No it is from inox tubes with a kind of ball shaped fitting where you can screw one or more tubes together under a corner.

  19. When I looked at the thumbnail at Your Sunday Best, I thought it was some kind of zombie for Halloween, lol, but now I see it's a lovely man who clearly enjoys his work! Great post.

  20. Great portrait shot, but I'm a bit concerned about Jose's health! Looks like he may be more prone to developing all sorts of occupationally associated diseases...

  21. I have to ditto what Nixblog had to say. I would also be concerned about Jose's health. First, he is wearing the wrong kind of mask to be working with paints and he certainly should be protecting his eyes.

If I were is boss I would hate to loose such a good worker to the hazards of the chemicals.
