Remember These??

Amazing how quickly technology changes! I bet your kids / grand-kids have no clue what they are. Who would have thought they would become antiques so quickly?

  1. I know it's things like this making me feel old. That and black and white tvs. It was when I was explaining about my gameboy and how that was in black and white lol.

  2. I agree. I have boxes in storage full of 45s and LPs, who knows what to do with them...?? Sell them? Think of where we'll be in another 15-20 years... one thing I find a bit frustrating is moving images from one backup media to another...

  5. Looking at the size of them, they are slightly bigger than a CD, imagine that!
My sisters had tons of these and I don't know where they all went.

  6. I think the same thing about me.
How did I get this old (almost 62) this quickly?
Don't know where all mine went,
but they have been gone for decades.
    Love the new blog header.

  7. I guess the same can be said for 8-tracks, cassettes, and even now, CDs. Sometimes, it all changes too quickly.

Thank you for sharing at Your Sunday Best this week. xoxo

  10. The new header is beautiful! I try to keep my grandkids well informed of all the things I grew up with, and my kids actually enjoyed listening to all my 45s and albums when they were growing up.

  12. I have all my LPs but not my 45s. Hmmm, wonder what happened to those!

  13. I had a record player that could convert from playing albums to 45s. And could stack six records at a time. Didn't have much in the way of either until I went to college. I have no idea what happened to the player or the records.

  14. When we recently moved I got rid of all my LP's and 45's. I had nothing to play them on and if I did, I probably wouldn't. I have that very same cacti as you have in your header photo. One of the very few cactus that is friendly to the touch.

  15. I have my LPs at least and a player. Do I use it? Not really. Last time was probably about 5 years ago. Terrible sound! ha! Thanks for the photo! (And I love your banner too!)

  21. and fun to collect... I used to play my mom's generous collection of them on our super big Kenwood stereo with a hardwood case. Hahaha... Really nostalgic!

  22. I've been helping my elderly mother clean out her garage, found a box of them, I am sure they were ones I played on my portable red record player.

  27. Oh, indeed! I bet some the younger kids would feel the same about CDs - what with iPods and mp3s and so on...

  28. Oh yes! But my kids don't...

  29. ;) fun. I still listen to vinyl. Esp. when it rains. Or when the mood for classic is strong.

  30. Oh, yes, I do remember those. I have all my vinyls but nothing to play them on. I don't have too many though as CDs came out when I was 20.
