Lone Joshua Tree |
Desert wash, this time in color! |
My lizard friend with his red head and black & yellow body. |
I used a couple textures to "grunge up" the original photo. |
Leaving Joshua Tree National Park at night from the east entrance (Utah Trail), this is the view you see. That's the 29 Palms Marine Base in the far distance.
Linking with Skywatch Friday. Click on the link to check out great skies from around the world. Have a great weekend!!
I'm not quiet certain but I think that lizard is one that was searched high and low for .....
ReplyDeleterare and seldom seen in the area...
as always...great photography...
a blog that never disappoints
I never tire of your gorgeous photos.
ReplyDeleteI love your photo works of art every time I visit. The bonus is I still get to see all the grandeur of the desert without having to go there ( been there, done that for many years!) in the Summer heat or Winter Cold.
ReplyDeleteThe colours are glorious. What amazing sunsets.
ReplyDeleteLovely skies and beautiful scene. The park looks like an awesome place for taking photos. I love the texture shot and the night light shot. But, they are all gorgeous. Happy weekend to you!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shots- all!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness...I don't know where to begin! Such beauty. You've managed to awe me with the very first image of the joshua tree at sunset and its silhouette. Cute lizard...non-poisonous I hope. I think they all are, aren't they; except for the gila monster. And the night lights at the Marine Base [ooorah!!] There is something about lights at night from a distance that ....well, it just does something to me that I ogle and ahhhhh a lot.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots of an unusual landscape. Well done.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos. Love the first one!
ReplyDeleteBlack & white or color that is always a dilemma.
ReplyDeleteI love all these, the grunged up on is really good.
ReplyDeleteReally gorgeous shots!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Shirley indeed! I've been gone and so am behind in my blog visits and so haven't seen the B&W versions yet, but these color ones are spectacular! Those first two especially take my breath away. And I love your lizard friend - he's a very handsome fella, and much more interesting looking than the Geico gekko. :-)
ReplyDeleteLOVE! the 2nd one needs to be a postcard. and i like the lizard in color!
ReplyDeletestunning shots - so beautiful! love the colors!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely stunning - the desert has such beauty. Thanks for showing the color too - the B&W were spectacular too.

ReplyDeleteI thought the black-and-white shots were beautiful (I still feel that way), but these color photos are magnificent. The color in the sky is fantastic.
ReplyDeleteI only read Joshua trees, just like the saguaru cactus, but you made it real spectacular! And the rest of the shots are lovely as well. Thanks for dropping by my site too.
ReplyDeleteMakes me think I may have a look at some of my images from central Australia in black and white.
ReplyDeleteCheers - Stewart M - Melbourne
