My sister over at Lap Dog Knits has three chickens she is raising, so we took my granddaughter over for a visit today. She loves chickens, so she had a lot of fun. And a photo op for me!
Hope you are having a good weekend, and thanks for stopping by!
Your Granddaughter is darling...I love the third picture...I love them all!! Have a blessed day.
ReplyDeleteWe have family friends that have chickens and geese, sheep, horses and such. I go every time I'm invited.
ReplyDeleteThese are really special.
ReplyDeleteThe baby is so precious! Love your photos with the chickens, too. Fun fun!
ReplyDeleteThat's a beautiful child!
ReplyDeleteHer Great Grandma Sarah would be very pleased.....bring over again soon!!
ReplyDeleteKids and chickens - whats not to like.
ReplyDeleteI think my underwater shots are sky shots - its just that there is a liquid / gas barrier between me and the sky!

She's a doll -- and she seemed to respect the chickens... cute post! :)
ReplyDeleteYou are a lucky grandfather, the little girl is lovely! ;-)
ReplyDeleteAwww -so cute!
ReplyDeleteSweet child indeed! I got to know my grandfather's laying hens, each by name. I even recognized many of their eggs by shape, texture and color. The current Scientific American has and article on their intelligence: "Chickens are smart, and they understand their world, which raises troubling questions about how they are treated on factory farms..."
ReplyDeleteYour granddaughter is a doll! Ours is 9 months old, standing up (holding onto something), but not walking yet on her own. Man, she is a HANDFUL! Or, maybe I'm just getting old?

Wonderful! Our daughter and sil keep chickens and it was so much fun watching the great-grandkids with them for the first time a couple of summers ago. (Our grandkids were older by the time they moved to the farm, so this was the first time to introduce toddlers.)
ReplyDeleteHow cool is that?! Your little one looks very taken by the chickens- love it!
