Unidentified Contrail

I took this photo two weeks ago in Twentynine Palms, CA (near Joshua Tree and also very close to the Twentynine Palms Marine Corp Air Ground Combat Center). It was just about sunrise and I was surprised to be greeted with this view!
What's making this contrail? I have no idea, but it was moving fast!

    This is a wonderful image, most of the time I don't see what makes the contrails.

    Fantastic picture! I love the colors, so vibrant. I drove through 29 Palms several years ago and remember all the murals.

    I'm in Lucerne Valley. I can't be sure if I saw the same one but I've taken photos of some of them around that time.

    Beautiful shot, and very mysterious. I have seen a smaller version of that once and I never could figure out what made it.
