I just finished waxing nostalgic about how the farmland I grew up around is now dessert, when the area lost its irrigation source. (the valley, El Paso)
If only things could stay the same (I sound like an old curmudgeon.)
One could hope that the lack of repair of existing roads would indicate the unlikelihood of paving the desert roads--- Let's hope it never happens. I love the desert (with AC, of course). Love your stuff.
