From the Desert to the City (Part 1)

OK, so a change of scenery for me. A departure from my usual desert shots. I was in San Francisco about a week ago and had a free evening, so took the opportunity to wander around the city with my iPhone. I started my walk at the Marriott (4th Street and Mission) and headed over to the Embarcadero area. Check back next week as we walk from the Embarcadero to China Town, then back to the Marriott. Now, sit back and enjoy the tour!

    Amazing pictures. The iPhone does such a good job and of course it takes a keen eye to 'see' the picture ahead of time.

    Yup! After 30 years on Oahu, SF blows my mind whenever I drive down there. Now THAT'S a city. If you are ever north of the Golden Gate Bridge - or in the City come to think of it - I'd like to buy you a coffee. Aloha

    I'm not used to see this kind of photos from your hand, but I like a lot of them. Specially the reflections of the sky in those tall buildings are beautiful.

    You are as good at your city-scapes as you are in the desert. And I loved how in addition to the beauty you captured the quirkiness of the old building and fire escape. Wonderful series.

    Beautiful shots from SF. With your iPhone, seem to be quality images now. Mayb I should buy one. :)

    I visited SF once many years ago. Sad to say I did not see much of the city.
