Staying Local

Last week I posted some recent moon shoots that I took locally (not my usual desert photos). The moon was rising about the same time the sun was setting, which creates a real dilemma. Shoot east at the moon or west at the setting sun?? Don't we wish all our problems were so wonderful? Here are shots from the same evening, but looking west.

Thanks for stopping by. Stay safe and healthy.
PS: Joshua Tree National Park is open again. Yippee!

  14. How lovely! And I'm so glad your park is open again. It's been crazy to see parks close when you can easily go and not see anyone...or very few people! Hiking has sure helped me stay sane through this time. It sure got HOT though! Take care and enjoy your day!

  21. Am cheering with you that the park opened up again, Peter! Although when it was closed you still had plenty of places to go, it seemed:) Love these sunsets! For me your moon shots were more impressive, since I don't know how to do them:) Have agreat weekend in the park!

  30. Silhouettes, landscapes, sky on fire .... beautiful photographs no matter where you take them. Is it the camera? Is it the lens? Nope. It is your technical information stored in that brain of yours and that creative spirit you possess. The adventurous quality is on the back burner but soon it will be FREE again. Hold tight. There is hope. Be safe.
