Coals in a Forge

"The eastern sky was red as coals in a forge, lighting up the flats along the river."

  6. Wonderful. A great start to my day, when the dawn here looks more like wet blankets in a muddy puddle!

  7. I could kick myself for not getting out there when I lived in OC-- twice. Well, at least I got to Anza-Borrego in full bloom once--- in the late 70s. Incredible pictures.

  17. You keep outdoing yourself with these sky shots. I loved the tribute to McMurtry, too. I once saw a sunset out in Archer City, where he lived, that nearly rivaled one of these; sadly I didn't get a photo. I did write about him on Owl's Farm, though. I only wish I had something as pretty as these to illustrate the post with.
