On This Day in 2023...

I get daily emails from Microsoft titled "Your memories from this day." I enjoy scrolling through my many photos taken on "this day" over the years. Lots of family memories and hiking memories. On this day last year, I happened to be at the Quail Springs Picnic Area in Joshua Tree National Park during a very pretty sunset. Everything was bathed in golden light! Here are a few of my favorites.

Usually I shoot with my 16mm-35mm wide angle lens, but I think these were taken with my telephoto lens (100mm-300mm). Gives the photos a different perspective and pulls in the hills in the background. Hope you enjoyed them!

Thanks for stopping by!!

  2. I see why these are some of you favorites. Really lovely.
I've recently been experimenting with the longer focal lengths for landscapes and you're right about a different perspective. More practice shall be needed ....

  9. I must have missed this or I hadn't discovered this site yet. WOW these are surreal. I love the settings, plants and especially the mountains set as a back drop, They appear to be added by an artist. THANKS I know that camera's eye you have did not come over night. Pictures say so much.... enjoy reading the comments here, many say what I would like to say...
