Happy SkyWatch Friday!

Here's one of my all-time favorite sunrise shots.  This actually ties into my post of Oct. 2 ("Get Up You Lazy Bum!").  My wife, who almost always gets up earlier than I do, got up early in the AM a few weeks ago when we were out in the CA desert, saw this fantastic sunrise, saw my camera on the kitchen table, and went out and composed this shot.  Beginners luck?  No, I don't think so!
I eventually got out of bed, but not quite in time to enjoy this awesome sunrise.  Enjoy your weekend, and Happy SWF!

    I didn't catch it on the first read but I see now, she gets the credit for the great shot. This is my same fault these days...can't get them old bones out of bed early anymore.

    That is a spectacular sunrise. My view really catches sunsets, plus I love to sleep in. I love Joshua Tree. I have many fond memories of visiting there when I lived in Southern California. But I've traded all that warm sun for a new life in BC. But I picked the Sunshine Coast. We get our share, especially between storms. - Margy

    simply gorgeous! i get up before everyone else in the house too, just so i can have my coffee in some peace and quiet! and ps....my husband was stationed in 29 palms back when he was in the marine corps, we know joshua tree well!

    I must say, as significantly as I enjoyed reading what you had to say, I couldnt help but lose interest after a while. Its as if you had a excellent grasp on the
    Action Fuel PRO topic matter, but you forgot to include your readers. Perhaps you should think about this from additional than 1 angle. Or maybe you shouldnt generalise so substantially. Its better if you think about what others may have to say instead of just heading for a gut reaction to the topic.
