Orange Sky
Took this tonight as the sun was setting in the CA desert. The plant silhouette is the bloom of a cactus called an ocotillo. They are tall and spiky, and when flowering, have spectacular red blooms at the ends of each branch. Very unusual, and quintessential desert!
Beautifully taken! I love silhouette shots.

The ocotillo looks like it's holding out its arm and enjoying the remaining sunlight.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like the branch contains a message that invites decoding.
