Orange Sky

Took this tonight as the sun was setting in the CA desert. The plant silhouette is the bloom of a cactus called an ocotillo. They are tall and spiky, and when flowering, have spectacular red blooms at the ends of each branch. Very unusual, and quintessential desert!

    Wow! I can only dream of coming up with a shot like that! I wonder if you got a headache afterwards, staring at the sun to get a great shot like that.
