No time to get my granddaughter properly dressed for a photo. Just a "quick, stand here" before we lose this incredible sky!
Gotta love those cowboy boots! (they were her idea). Looking closely at the photo, I'm pretty sure they were on the wrong feet!
Rusty paint can.
Wild-looking sky in the early morning! Not sure... does this qualify as a fence shot??
That's our modest little "Twin Tanks" homestead cabins, and the never ending trailer project!
View to the northwest and the town of Joshua Tree. Love those purple skies!!
My wife and granddaughter under desert skies! Maybe I need to get up early more often?
Linking with Theresa's Good Fences and Skywatch Friday.
Thanks for stopping by!!
I think you do! Totally worth it, they are stunning!
ReplyDeleteOh my! The sunrise is awesome!
ReplyDeleteMaybe so -- I'd think those amazing views definitely worth the sacrifice! Especially this month before the time change -- sunrise comes late. Thank you for sharing your wonderful morning. Including the cowboy boots on the wrong "foots" ... too cute and no-contest better memories than any studio posed photo
ReplyDeleteFabulous morning skies over the desert and well worth the rush outdoors to take the shots with your cute- as-a-button granddaughter!
ReplyDeleteWhat a little cutie and the sky!
ReplyDeleteI agree, with sights like this, get up early every day. I am not a morning person either, but we do not have this kind of beauty where I live.
ReplyDeleteSo so beautiful!!! Love where you live!! We drove through Joshua National Park about 5 years ago !
ReplyDeleteLovely shots. I feel your pain. Early morning hikes haven't been on my schedule for a while.
ReplyDeleteWith your granddaughter as motivation, you went out and got the stunning sunrise. Priceless!!
ReplyDeleteGotta love your granddaughter for puttin' those boots on! GOOD FOR HER! Lovely shots. I need to take some. I actually DO wake up that early!

i am no longer a morning person, i use to be. now i sleep in way to late and i wish i didn't!!! this beautiful sunrise reminds me why i would like to be up early, to see this and get a jump on enjoying the day. what a waste to sleep in!!!
ReplyDeletei am sure tex will love these. you should see some of the "things" i have used in the past, i think anything goes!!
i adore kids who dress themselves and put their own shoes/boots on. i think she made a great choice!!!
There is noting like watching a sunrise and those are amazing
ReplyDeleteThese are wonderful. Beautiful skies. Cute Granddaughter as well.

Thank you for visiting me at the Irish Garden House . . .
Always fun to have a new visitor.

All I can say is "Gasp!"

Those are some stunning views. I am not a morning person either, but sometimes it is worth it to get up early!
ReplyDeleteI'm so not a morning person either but for a sunrise like that I could be converted. Your granddaughter is adorable in her cowboy boots and yes that qualified nicely as a Fence shot.
ReplyDeleteIf these pictures don't convince you to get up early enough to catch the sunrise, than nothing will. These are gorgeous.I love seeing the morning skies.
ReplyDeleteAmazing skies, Beautiful photos.
ReplyDeleteGreetings :)
Wow, what beautiful pictures. You really have a good eye. Bravo

ReplyDeleteHello!:) I kept say WOW! out loud as I scrolled down your photos. These skies and views are breathtaking, and your adorable granddaughter looks very cute in her boots.:)
ReplyDeleteWe BOTH need to see more sunrises. There is nothing like the red glow sunrise sometimes gives to the entire sky. Your photos were breathtaking.
ReplyDelete....I envy those desert surroundings you have!! I'd be awake before sunrise, and sitting by a cactus at night for the sunset...and watching the moon rise also. Wow.
ReplyDeleteShe's a doll!!! And yep, wrong feet/boots. But that makes it all the more sweet in my opinion.
Hello, adorable shots of your granddaughter. The sky and colors are just stunning. Great series of photos. Happy Friday, enjoy your weekend!
ReplyDeleteThere's something magical about the light bouncing off the mountains. I have an interesting and unusual sunrise photo posted today, stop back :-)
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely breathtaking!
ReplyDeleteI am so glad your sweet grand daughter got you up early. While Sunsets can be beautiful there is nothing like the beauty and freshness of a morning sky. Gorgeous both the sky and the GD. Love the boots too.

ReplyDeleteIncredible sunrises!!
ReplyDeleteI AM a morning person and I'm out walking when the sun comes up. : )
Breathtaking photos! Wow.
ReplyDeleteWow, those skies are well worth getting up early! I'm not an early riser, either, but if I could walk out my door and see skies like those, I might reconsider.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful sunrise at the desert and I think you should get up and take more of these sunrise photos. Your granddaughter is a sweet and cute girl!

Wonderful skies....stunning landscape....fabulous images!
ReplyDeleteyour granddaughter and the sky matches each other perfectly in color. Love her smile in the second image. :)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous skies! I rarely get up and dressed in time for sunrise.
ReplyDeleteHow great to have a granddaughter to get you up and out in the morning. (She's just what I need!) You were in my thoughts this week. I was in London to see an exhibition of Georgia O'Keeffe's work and her Ghost Ranch paintings reminded me of the landscape and all the wonderful colours that you capture in your photography. She wrote, "it's a very beautiful world," and I have to agree.
ReplyDeleteWonderful skies! Your granddaughter is so cute!
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend!
The skies that dreams are made of...thank you
ReplyDeleteStunning!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, she is so cute! The skies are pretty spectacular too.
