Milkweed Seedpod - Macro Monday
All my wife will tell me is she collected it in the "wild"... and that it is a seedpod from a milkweed plant. Butterflies like milkweeds, and she likes butterflies.
Canon EF-S 60mm macro lens, f18, 1/60 second exposure, iso 1600. Check out Lisa's Chaos Macro Monday for awesome macro shots. Have a great week!
Pretty and interesting! I love things of an organic nature...and if it involves butterflies, I'm there!
ReplyDeleteHi there - nice shot. Makes me wonder how in would go in black and white.

Interesting find by your wife !
ReplyDeleteWow! awesome photo ~ Terrific macro shot ~ namaste, Carol ^_^
ReplyDeleteyup, we get some of those in the pastures, and the butterflies do love them. :)
ReplyDeleteI guess we both did have milkweed in mind...Those seeds will need some cold weather to germinate. I collected some and didn't get them planted last fall. Hopefully yours will grow....thanks for helping the monarch butterflies
ReplyDeleteNice shot! I love butterflies too.
ReplyDeleteInteresting and nice.
ReplyDeleteRegards and best wishes
Enjoyed browsing through your photos - beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWhen those milkweed seeds are floating through the fall air (here in KY), we call them 'wishes' - do you all? If you can catch one, you make a wish, then set it free to carry your wish away. Fanciful, huh! :0)
I am intrigued by the part "all my wife will tell me..." In my mind she has found it in a secret spot or at least somewhere where she wasn't supposed to be, haha.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photo, I don't think I have ever seen anything like this, the details are, as said, beautiful!
Interesting capture. I don't think I've ever looked at one of these pods that closely.
ReplyDeleteInteresting shot! Great macro!
