Ruby's version 2: Added a layer that included the big moon. Not very realistic but kind of fun! |

Having spent plenty of beach time from Trestles to Huntington I have to say BRAVO! I like the second Ruby's shot with the moon added and the surfer looking out to the sunset is very "Endless Summer" style.
ReplyDeleteWe the people of Southern California are pretty darned lucky just to be witness to this kind of beauty on any given day.
OH, what fabulous shots - I do love the silhouettes! And that bird - is it photobombing your shots?
ReplyDeleteHuntington is a favorite place of mine. Beautiful collection to view. Especially like the loan surfer shot.
ReplyDeleteWonderful shots. Happy sky watching.

ReplyDeletei loved ruby's! reminded me of my nonagon house!
ReplyDeleteThey are all spectacularly taken, except maybe for the PS shot! Where are you staying when you shot the whole structure, you seem to be in the water!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great day at the beach - I really love that first shot with the bright sky behind it.
ReplyDeleteVery nice artistic treatment. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteHuntington Beach Life Tower #5, oh my. Lots lots lots of memories of that place. Not me personally, but I know that a lot of kids would go there in the middle of the night and do... adult stuff. That used to be THE spot. I don't know if it still is now, but it was 20 years maybe 30 years ago. I'm shaking my head at how old I'm getting. Those are wonderful pictures. I miss that beach!
ReplyDeleteYeah, who needs grandkids to entertain you when you have camera in hand, lol. Great shots, very retro looking. I used to live in Huntington Beach and often walked that pier.
ReplyDeleteTerrific shots! I like your editied one!
ReplyDeleteWhoa, Nellie! These shots are fantastic and your edits are so fun. The colors, compositions, and edits make this a great post, filled with interest. Love!
ReplyDeletesuper nice photos....
ReplyDeletethe lone surfer is my favorite - photos should make you wonder about the story they hold - that one makes me wonder of his thoughts out there, drifting currents, lapping water over the board, breeze, distant sounds of life from shore - his mind was most likely far from all of that and waiting on the perfect swell to show itself
Oh I just love the one where you added the moon!!!! Picture post card perfect!!
ReplyDeleteWhat gorgeous, colorful skies and superb captures for the day! Now that is the perfect way to end a day -- any day!! Thanks for sharing the beauty!! Have a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteGreat series of shots; I love the first one!
ReplyDeleteVery nice captures! I grew up nearby, so enjoy seeing shots of the new pier and Ruby's (which didn't exist when I was a teen).
ReplyDeleteHappy SWF!
