Busy Bees!

Guess I'll add to all the posts about Spring, beautiful flowers, etc. I didn't have to go far to capture these photos... right out my front door. Lots of stuff in bloom, and the bees are very busy!

Wasp nest... found it in the front garden, and makes for a fun macro shot!

Hope you're having a great week!

  7. You got some marvelous macros -- the details are amazing. I'm hoping we'll see more busy bees around here if Old Man Winter finally decides to go away.

  9. Wow!!! I love all of your bee images!! My favourite is the last one, with the sun coming through the bodies of the bees as well as the flowers!!!

  10. I'm not sure which makes me happiest, seeing all the beautiful plants blooming (not happening here, not yet!) or seeing all the busy pollinators at work, especially given how dire the situation is with Colony Collapse. Your photos are wonderful, as always - my favorite is the last one, and I also love the effect you used on #3. Wonderful collection!

  11. Very nice macros although I don't know if I would like to be so close to a wasp's nest. The third picture looks like a painting. Nicely done!
