Desert Light

On our last trip to the desert, we were driving home from a short hike and the sky was exceptionally beautiful. Also rapidly changing. There was rain on the horizon. I was so hoping I would be home in time to grab my camera and catch some of the beauty, and it turned out, I barely made it! Shortly after taking these, the sky clouded up and the magical light was gone!

Hope your week is going well, and thanks for stopping by!!

Well, if you published as much as the two of us did, in several languages and for lecturing at conferences and International Mushroom Science Congresses, even publishing together our University Textbook—you use your true name! We are no sissies and know what we're doing!

  12. Fantastic skies and I like the colors in the last both.
I've often regretted not having a camera with me in the best moments - it would have to be a body part ;)
Most people have smartphones these days, so it's no problem... I don't own one.

  14. I love those dark rain streak clouds. It's so wide open there for miles upon miles, not like our rainforests here.

  17. I love seeing scenes like this, trouble is I tend to miss them. I saw some wonderful ones the other day on my way back from Wales but did not get a chance to do a driveby shot

  21. There was a time when if I saw a good sunset from the house that I would go out and chase it. Conditions changed so quickly that it never worked.
