LAX "Space Age" Landmark

Just returned from a business trip tonight, and got into LAX about 8 PM.  I was parked on the 4th floor (rooftop) of lot 1, and had a great view of what is now called Encounter Restaurant, so I snapped this shot with my iPhone.  This structure has been here for years, and I can only guess that it was built to have a "space age" look back in the day.
Does it remind you of something from
the Jetsons??

  6. Wow! Those colors are truly amazing! I think the iPhone camera is better than many small digitals.

  8. I wonder what they serve at this restaurant. =) Perhaps like the Jetsons - they have a food machine.

  9. I love this shot.. yes very futuristic looking! It would fit right in with the Space Needle in Seattle... you asked about crisp shots, I shoot almost exclusively with a tripod these days and with a remote shutter trigger. I do hand hold my camera but only in really bright conditions and sometimes not even then. My problem on my blog had to do with the program not utilizing my full size images, so when I changed the image size for my post the image was actually being up-sized (hence blurry or fuzzy images) rather than down-sized which maintain the crisp focus of the image.. hope this helps you. Thank you for sharing on 'Weekly Top Shot.' I hope you'll come share again next week...
